Captain & Men's Captain - Adam Bennett
As well as assisting the overall captain, the men's captain picks the men's Varsity Team and BUSA relay teams.
Women's Captain - Victoria Stevens
The job of the Captain is primarily to nag the members of the committee to
make sure that they are keeping on top of their roles and to chair
committee meetings. Specific jobs include planning/organising Cuppers, the
Intr-o and the Punt-o and filling in reports on club activities for other
organisations. The job is not usually that time consuming, but the Captain
must be willing to assume responsibility for other roles in the committee
should that be necessary.
Senior Treasurer - Mike Bickle
Junior Treasurer - Andy Crosby
The responsibility of the Junior Treasurer is to account for all financial transactions
within the club, such as keeping tabs on all creditors, debtors and balances. A job suitable for
folk with number affinity and self-discipline.
Secretary - Victoria Stevens
The first point of contact if you're not sure who best to talk to
within the club. Also acts as BOF liaison, and deals with the agendas and
minutes at committee meetings. Basically a job with lots of prestige, but
not too much work!
Fixtures Secretary - Adam Bennett
The job entails getting all CUOC members to a series of events throughout term, by deciding fixtures, arranging transport and, if necessary, accommodation. It is quite a demanding job, but if you like sending e-mails and are very organised in setting deadlines, it is the job for you!
Social Secretary - Fred Lyon
This involves arranging ad hoc outings to Pubs and organising events such as The Dinnercrawl.
This job is cool; if you like getting out and chilling then this is for you.
Training Co-ordinator - Fred Lyon
Training Officer: Has the task of arranging weekly training during term
time. Usually two sessions a week are held varying from interval sessions
to tea runs.
Journal Editor - Huw Grange
Collect articles from other members of the club about our exploits of the year and collate them into something coherent. The journal has tended to be a mix of an archive with some amusing articles mixed in. The Journal Editor is a seasonal committee position, with the journal being collated at the end of the year. Journal Editor also has the large advantage of deciding which photos end up in the journal!
Mapping Officer - Ben Stevens
Mapping officer: The Mapping officer has the responsibilty of keeping the
maps of CUOC's areas up-to-date. On a yearly basis this normally involves
minor updates (vegetation changes, new paths, new fences etc.) on the maps
to be used for the Sprint-O and Icenian but can also involve larger
re-mapping work, depending on the need and/or the level of keeness! CUOC
has all it's maps in OCAD format and a license for OCAD 8 for doing
re-mapping work.
Technology Officer - Ben Stevens
Being a technology officer means managing the CUOC website and the CUOC email lists.
Icenian Planner - Ben Stevens
Plans the route of the Icenian event through map analysis and land ownership negotiation. Also liases with the Icenian Organiser.
Icenian Organisers - Huw Grange & Andy Crosby
Icenian Organiser: Organises all practicalities associated with the Icenian, such as transport, publicity, electricity and portaloos.
Sprint-O Planner - Victoria Stevens
Basically plan the courses for the Sprint-O! The planners job starts from the moment the competitors get into the forest and ends once they are back in their vehicles. In reality Planner and Organiser work together to make the event a success. It is also over by the end of Michaelmas term so you can sit back and relax for the rest of the year.
Sprint-O Organiser - Adam Bennett
Sprint-O Organiser: Organises the smooth running of the event, ranging from wide publicity coverage to all British Universities to
reliable, friendly service at the curry house finalé.
